I applied through other source. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at American Income Life (Phoenix, AZ) in Jun 2013
Interview
They call on paid for resumes or advertise online. The prospect is not told that it is an insurance job. They are given as little information as possible. The interview is a mass interview of about 30 people. In that interview they are told how great the company is and how all the sales leads are hot. They are told they only sell to union employees, which is not true. Anyone who is willing to sign up for the course and pay for the state test for life insurance is told they are hired. The paid training will not start until they have passed the exam, paid for the license, and have spent a week putting out child safe boxes. A person can spend up to 4 to 5 weeks unpaid just to get to the training. The training promised is $400 to $800 a week. This is not guaranteed. I worked 12 to 14 hours a day for 4 weeks training and made about $175 to $300 a week.
The interview went well, I'm just looking for insight on what I'll be walking into starting this job. I had to add a review to be able to see others reviews, I will update as soon as I start.

I applied online. I interviewed at American Income Life (Bluffdale, UT)

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at American Income Life (San Francisco, CA) in Nov 2023
Interview
Process was disjointed and inconclusive. Zoom - 3 total. 1st- basic meet-greet. 2nd- a company promo video you watch alone mostly about an annual convention in a tropical location: nothing specific about the job. 3rd- "Host is in another meeting," waited 20 mins and left, so it never happened.

Question 1
There wasn't a real interview. Never got to find out about the agency or the actual position. If it's that disorganized and disrespectful from the get-go, I want nothing to do with it.
