I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at American Income Life (Seattle, WA) in Mar 2015
Interview
They give you a group presentation where they have their high level manager sell you on why they are the best company ever and how your going to be swimming in cash right away. They have lower level employees watch you take notes and give points on who they think takes good notes and ask questions. Then you have a short interview with those lower level employees. If they like you they will bring you back the next day to interview
With the top agent/office
Manager. They have already made up their
Mind and he asks you some lame typical sales interview questions. He will now
Tell you how they make no investment in you and you are responsible for the cost
Of the lisensing class and test and your
Gas and all expenses. Then they finally tell you that this is a 100% commission job from day one and you can't sell anything for month. They the. Offer
You the job and don't give you an offer
Sheet, and try to force you to sign up for the lisensing classes/exam On the spot. The worst thing about them is they never once tell you that you being hired as a 1099 and not an employee, and what the implications of that are.
Promises warm leads, "opportunity unlimited". No promises of easy money, but focused more on bringing in mass amounts of agents, not enough focus on coaching. They would benefit more on working and developing employees, instead of constantly adding numbers to the workforce.
Fairly straightforward. Watch an overview, answer a questionnaire, then it's 1 or 2 one on one interviews with a manager. If you're a motivated person who can articulate well, you should have a decent chance.
The interview process was great, quick, professional, and happened in 2 parts. 1 part was in a group via a zoom with other potential hires. And the next with a one on one by the next day.
