Applied online in late October, I knew some people at Amtrak, and they gave me an edge on getting in (which I thought wasn't fair to other applicants). End of December I took the online personality, reading and math tests. About a week or so later they scheduled me for physical abilities test. I had an invitation to interview that same night and interviewed at the end of the week.
The interview is a panel of three people. They ask about relevant experience, why you chose Amtrak, and behavioral "tell me about a time when you..." questions.
In the end, they discussed what it would mean if you take the job and what they expect.
After the interview, I just didn't feel right about it, though I got an offer, I realized I wasn't committed or as eager to do it as I thought, a good life lesson anyway.
