Interview
This was for a position with the Northeast Corridor Commission. I applied in June, met a member of the team informally to discuss the position, and received an automated rejection email in early August.
Two weeks later, HR writes me with a copy-pasted job description and asks if I'd be available on the same day or the day after for a call to discuss. I take the call while I'm on vacation and the HR doesn't seem to know what he wants to ask me. We talk for 10 minutes before he asks about my availability for an in-person interview the following week. I don't hear for him for a few days, take another job offer, and send him a note to inform him I've chosen something else. It was a really disorganized, strange, and timely experience that in no way made me want to become an employee.
