Had an initial telephone interview with the recruiter. The following week, there was another telephone interview with the hiring manager. Two weeks later, I was called in to meet with the hiring manger again, the Human Resources manager, and the Director of Actuarial. I was asked a series of questions about my background and many behavioral questions. The overall interview was 4.5 hours long. I was told I would hear the final decision in two weeks. It's been 3 months and I have heard nothing. The job has been filled. I found it to be extremely rude that I interviewed for 4.5 hours and they did not have the common courtesy to let me know. A "Thanks, but no thanks" letter or email would have been sufficient. Companies need to take the time to let people know whether or not they got the position after coming in for an interview. It was a a blessing in disguise because I got a much better offer from a better company.
