I wanted to share feedback on the Autodesk hiring process. While I appreciate the opportunity to interview, the overall experience felt unexpectedly unstructured and lacked basic communication etiquette.
The process was extremely long — spanning months — with more than seven interviews and significant gaps of silence between each stage. What was most disappointing, however, was the ending: after investing considerable time and preparation, there was no direct communication from the team. No email, no brief message, no closure — only an automated system notification from Workday.
For a company of Autodesk’s size and reputation, this reflects poorly on the candidate experience. Clear communication, even a short personalized note, goes a long way in maintaining professionalism and showing the company’s values.
