I applied online. I interviewed at Autodesk in Feb 2025
Interview
Fairly standard interview process for this position. An initial interview / screening, followed by a meeting with a project manager, then a more detailed technical interview. Everyone was very professional and courteous during the interview.
I'm giving this process a thumbs down for two reasons though; first I was kept in limbo for nearly 3 weeks. They forgot to send a rejection email earlier, and only informed me after asking twice for a follow up.
But also, I did press for some feedback (which was appreciated) and was informed that they chose a "rebound" candidate that had worked there before. What a demoralizing experience, to be strung along as a backup candidate- of course they were going to hire someone internal or that had worked there. Especially since I felt i was highly qualified for the nature of the role. Overall this was one of the most disappointing rejections in my career.
