One interview with HR. Two interviews with either the store manager, Director of Retail Ops, or Assistant Director of Retail Ops.
Initially, HR recruiter reached out within 24 hours of applying to try and set up a time. After several emails, he always missed the windows I gave. Eventually another HR recruiter reached out a week later and I was able to interview with her for 30 minutes. She scheduled another interview between myself and who I believe was the assistant director of retail ops (Backcountry is new to physical retail store space). They missed the interview and did not email me that they would miss it. I reached out to the recruiter and she rescheduled the interview the next day with the store manager. He missed the interview again and failed to inform me through email that he would again. I finally chatted with him later in the day and he seemed energetic and wanting to hire me at a position above what I had applied for. This required another interview.
I was scheduled to interview with the Director of Ops (New role within Backcountry but the person has nearly 20 years of experience with retail stores). He missed the interview time. We are up three missed interviews that they scheduled and never sent a heads-up email that they would miss them.
Finally getting an interview with the Director, I asked what was happening to cause this and he said the new store was having a bunch of logistics issues with trucks showing up at random times they had to deal with and with incomplete orders within each truck. This made some sense but it would have been better to take one minute to send me an email saying they will need to reschedule rather than me waiting 20+ minutes in a zoom room for them.
I had never seen nor asked about pay up until this point too and the director gave me a non-answer about a "target salary" without mentioning any numbers.
