I applied on the company website for two of these positions and received rejection emails shortly after. 3-4 months later I saw that the position was posted again so I applied online once more. I received phone call from a recruiter 2 months later to ask basic questions about my availability and whether I was still on the market. A few hours later on the same day I received a second phone call from IT team member to do a preliminary screening over the phone.
I was told to schedule an in person interview a week later with the rest of the IT department. The interview was in a room with a group of 5 people including the director of IT, training team members, and other project managers. They went around the room to describe their different roles in the company and I was last to go to present myself. After explaining my job history, they each proceeded with reading questions off of a paper. Apparently the questions are required by the HR department. Most of the questions had nothing to do with the actual position in which you are applying. They are mainly situational questions, possibly to judge your character as a person. After each of my responses the team members jotted down notes or asked questions for further clarification.
Overall I thought the interview went well....but I got a rejection email a couple of days later. Stating something to the effect of "Although you bring an enormous amount of experience...we have decided to go with another candidate. Please stay in touch for future opportunities". Big waste of time, and to top it off I received that wonderful email on my birthday.
Good Luck
