I responded to a job posting for a Graphic Designer. I was excited to get a call back only to discover that the position was actually to be a commission-only salesman. The interview was comically easy because what they really wanted was for me to sign up to try and sell print magazines and advertisements to local businesses, and they spam job boards trying to lure in new recruits to do so. I was repeatedly told that there was some kind of magic selling system to ensure success, so I went away from the experience feeling like I'd been dragged into an MLM sales pitch meeting.
I sent screenshot proof that I did indeed apply to a listing for a graphic designer with a description for a position as a graphic designer to the woman who did my interview after being told repeatedly that there was no way I could have applied to such a position. The original posting was deleted not long after, so there's that.
It's basically impossible to flunk the interview with BVM, but be aware that it also isn't really a "job" in the traditional sense. What you're doing is signing on to be an unpaid sales agent with the promise that somewhere down the line the money will start flowing your way. I wish they would stop spamming my local job board with "Media Sales Executive ($160k+ a year!) listings that send push notifications to my phone. It should be illegal to advertise commission-only jobs as having a six figure salary.

Everything was set up through Indeed and was phone call or video based interviews. There were flexiblie times and days of the week you could choose from. There was in initial phone screen and two interviews.
The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Best Version Media (New York, NY)
Interview
Initially interviewed for "sister company" which was very hard to find information on. Had a total of 2 video interviews and a design assessment, all spanning the length of a month. After all of the time and effort spent I was told they decided to go with someone else. When I asked what the deciding factors were I was told they could not give that out. They sent my resume to BVM and I was surprisingly contacted a day or so later to do yet another design assessment. I was once again told they would not be going any further with me. I asked again, what it was so that I may improve in the future. I was completely ghosted. Have not- and at this point will not- hear back. I shouldn't be surprised as this was not actually the first time I had applied. The first time I didn't even make it to the interview process. The length of time I had spent trying for these positions was ridiculous, let alone being ghosted afterwards.
