Sadly, the reviews on this are accurate. This was a very poor representation of BetterUp. The recruiter who interviewed me has no business working in TA. The interview started with a warm introduction but went downhill fast once we discussed the role. For starters, she sent me several emails with someone else's name and was never once apologetic for sending so many wrong emails. Once she finally got it right, the call was able to commence. I thought she was joking when I read she had only set aside 20 minutes for our call (and it was over in 17 minutes).
She never once shared about the company and what problems their product was designed to solve never once hyped up the company and it's mission—nothing! There was no agenda for the call. She never asked if I had any questions about the job/the role. Once she had asked her questions, she closed with, "It was great talking to you. I'll get with the manager and see if she's interested in talking with you." And ended the call.
So unprofessional! I've been in the TA for over 10 years and have worked for very well-known companies in the tech space. Let me say that I would never treat someone so poorly in my life. If I were managing this TA Partner, I would have her take a training course on how to conduct an interview. And I get it; if the person is not a fit, that's fine. At least have the common courtesy to treat them with respect.
This recruiter was cold and rude. For those looking to apply for this job, save yourself the time. This job is always posted; they can't keep people. After my interview, I came to Glassdoor to see that it's a revolving door. I'm honestly happy I didn't go any further in the process. Crisis averted!
