Applied online for a sales ops role. Got a phone screen, the salary stated by the recruiter for this role was a lot lower than my expectations, but the recruiter mentioned that it would double check with the manager if this would be a problem and later I was contacted for a next step video-call interview. Was not selected for next steps due to being extended to another candidate. After 3 weeks the same role was advertised but interesting enough with my salary expectations. I believe this is not the professional and transparent process that companies should follow and it definitely pushes away high performing and highly experienced candidates.
