Recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn and after a phone call, I was invited in for an in-person interview. I was asked to do a written test and was supposed to meet with one other person. The written test was not difficult, and was designed to ensure that applicants/interviewees could string out a complete sentence and communicate messages to the company when/if needed. Beyond the written test, there was a period where I was left alone in the room by myself while the recruiter tried to track down this person. Eventually, the recruiter returned and said that this person wasn't going to make it and that they'd reach out to me to schedule another interview. I never did hear back from them about it. My suspicion is that they knew that they weren't going to advance with me or make an offer, so they decided to not waste this person's time meeting with me. It just felt very coy and unprofessional.
