The interview took all day and was the Personality test type interview. This interview really did little to find out about me and how you handle real situations. The first interview was with a person who told me he had nothing to do with my position, the second interview was with 3 people asking you questions that were scripted from a manual, and the final interview was with the dept head who really would be your boss. This interview was again a scripted question and answer, all while telling you how they continue to follow their core values that Dick Cabela started. I'm pretty sure that this wasn't the way he grew the company. After the interview I was told it would be 2 weeks for some response; 4 weeks later I finally got a generic reply from the HR dept. After all of the interview they took me to lunch where the Dept head didn't have the time of day for me.I don't quite understand how a company can tell you about how core their values are and then treat a candidate this way HE/SHE has invested several days to interview with this company in the middle of nowhere, and I truly mean nowhere ( the closet bigger town is an 1 hour away, and even by their own admission has no local pediatrician) All I can say is that WOW no wonder companies have trouble finding good employees.
