I applied for this position online at Careerbuilder, I was then contacted the very next day and asked to do a phone interview that Saturday. The phone interview was less than 5 mintues and the interviewer did not seem very attentive. After the phone interview I was contacted by the hiring manager for a 1:1 interview Wednesday of that week. Once I arrived at the interview I had to look for the guy as he blended in with everyone else and didn't make an effort to look for me. I greeted him and he didn't even stand up or look me in the eye, he stayed glued to his laptop. He asked a couple of broad questions such as what was highschool like, what makes you happy. He then went on to ask me more general interview questions such as tell me what personal responsibility means to you, who didn't you get along with in highschool and why etc. All the while he didn't make eye contact, didn't laugh, smile or show interest. At that point, I had decided even if I was offered the position I wasn't going to take it as, in my opinion, this guy was extremely arrogant, condescending and rude. It came time for me to ask questions and the first couple of questions I asked he dismissed saying that what I was asking didn't really matter as long as the right people were hired, the items wouldn't even be an issue. One of the questions I asked was what is the turn over rate of your employees and the pre-ceding answer was his response. He hastily concluded the interview stating that my gestures weren't likeable...didn't know that was something that could be an issue, and said I'd hear back in a week. I could list several examples of his lack of professionalism but I won't, I will sum it up by saying if I was hired by this company I would be leery of their cut-throat tactics and inability to be compassionate or personable.
