I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Central Market (Southlake, TX) in Sep 2011
Interview
This is a cattle call. They may not even have an opening for what you applied for. They have you there early in the morning looking like a clown. They had cookies for breakfast with orange juice, yum. We had to use construction paper, stickers, and glitter to recreate our application. Then stand up and tell everyone what it means. We had to have a partner and reenact scenarios as a customer and the employee (you play both parts). Then you will have to take a test were they set out ten weird fruits and veggies that you have never seen in your life, and you have to write down what you think they are. They had gummie bears (so you wouldnt make a zero) nutmeg, vanilla bean, passion fruit, a mexican potato thing and thats all I remember. The really hard stuff I can't even spell. The torture lasted two hours, and there was a panel of managers in the back of the room. You had a name tag on your front and on your back. The whole thing was weird especially those extra happy employees. Just skip it, unless you have no other job offers.

Question 1
If you could go to any country and money was no object, where would you go and who would you take?
I applied online. I interviewed at Central Market (Fort Worth, TX) in Oct 2025
Interview
It took around a month to get an interview after applying online. It starts out with a group interview with a room of around 20 people with a board of 3 to 4 hiring managers. If you do well, you will wait in that room while different hiring managers pick off groups or individuals in that room to tell them if they are being sent home or if they will move on to the solo interview. I waited for 20 minutes before I was sent to my solo interview. Solo interview went great, the managers are very kind. The entire process lasted around 2 hours. It was very draining but everyone was very kind.

Question 1
Group interview: what is the most inportant kitchen utensil? What is your favorite food? With your group, come up with a menu for an occasion of your choosing.
Solo: Tell me about yourself.. Tell me about a time you solved a conflict. Tell me about a time you dealt with an unhappy customer and how did you handle it?
Easy conversational style interview. Starts off with questions about ourselves and then had a few situational type questions. One interview was given before getting hired on. They were also willing to negotiate starting pay depending on education and work experience
