      Project Manager Interview

      Dec 16, 2016
      Anonymous employee
      Boston, MA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 8 months. I interviewed at Centric Consulting (Boston, MA) in Feb 2016

      Interview

The interview process for me was split into two parts. Interviews by the Centric Team, and then once they decided they wanted to hire me, I then interviewed for potential starting client engagements. I first interviewed with one of the Centric recruiters who made sure I had the technical background and experience that Centric was looking to hire. She also was interviewing me the potential fit in Centric (this will be a theme). I then interviewed with one of the Business Unit VP's over the phone. He asked me a few questions, but I had more of a feeling he was trying to tell if I would be a good fit personality, and communication style. Two sit down meetings with Business Unit partners followed my phone interview. During these meetings I once again described my experience, but also was asked to describe what I wanted to do in the future. This is important, if you don't have an idea of what you want to do, and a drive and passion for it, then Centric might not be for you. Centric is a fantastic company but unlike some consulting firms, they aren't going to hold your hand, and help you find your way. You need to create your own success, and that is why the company is thriving, if it doesn't seem like you can create your own success and be an asset not only to the client, but the Business Unit and Company, you likely aren't a good fit. Interviews with the clients were simple and the Centric team prepared me very well beforehand. The interview process is long, and sometimes communication is not the best, but stick through it and you'll be incredibly happy you did.

Thanks for leaving a detailed review on your experience interviewing with Centric. This sort of feedback is helpful to candidates and recruiters alike. Re: "aren't going to hold your hand"... very true! Having an entrepreneurial spirit is something we screen candidates for. We like people who can think on their feet and are open-minded about projects and technologies. We continue to aggregate our coaching and learning programs but at the end of the day, we look to our consultants to drive their careers. This entrepreneurial mindset isn't for everybody, but for those that do enjoy it (myself included!) it's very liberating. Best wishes in your new Centric career! - Carmen Fontana, Talent Acquisition Lead

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Centric Consulting (Gurgaon, Haryana) in Jan 2023

      Interview

First the HR will call you and then they will talk big things about the company, providing you all information about the pros and will def deviate your mind by telling you that its 8 Hrs flexible company etc.. etc.. Wth that motivation thing in mind, I have given my first round of the interview during last week to one of the Senior person, interview was great and then next day when i called the HR for the feedback they were easy to say that the position is gone on hold for the moment. This is totally disgusting thing. I didnt like it.

Interview was scheduled at a very short notice for the interview - like 2 hours. Interviewer was rude. She was looking for reasons to reject right off the bat. She asked me turn on my meeting camera but kept her off. She gave unsolicited feedback.
