Interview went great at first. Met with the advisors current assistant, whom I would be working closely with on a daily basis. Everything was going well, until I sat down with the advisor that I would be working for. It was a typical interview, he didn't seem overly friendly, but not rude either. I was trying my best to be more engaging since he was a bit distant, then he decided to inform me that he was a man of faith and he does frequently pray with his clients and I needed to be ok with that. At first thought it was a made up question to gauge how I as a candidate would handle that type of situation, but quickly realized he was talking about himself. I am not personally offended by someone practicing their religious beliefs at work, yet I found this to be odd. Moving on, I was told I would be informed in the coming days of next steps and the and his associate would reach out to me. A few days later I sent a thank you to the associate and never got a reply. It's been over a month and needless to say, I did not get the job, nor was informed as they promised. Please note, religion is very present in the San Diego office.
