      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Charlie Health (Texas City, TX) in Jun 2023

      Interview

I was contacted by a recruiter, and felt the initial interview went well. I was asked if I could do a follow interview the next day as they were really impressed with my qualifications. At the start of the second interview I was told that the position had been filled, but they had another position with less pay and night and weekend hours available. It was a total bait and switch approach. Very dishonest. The fact that the slurry range was a $75k span should have been my first clue that something was off.

      Question 1

We discussed my experience and salary requirements, nothing crazy.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Charlie Health (Jacksonville, FL) in Oct 2024

      Interview

The interview process seemed very straightforward. However, I was asked questions that didn't seem to match up with the job description. I am a seasoned professional and would certainly have added quality to this growing start-up. I was ultimately denied the opportunity with little to no feedback as to why. When I asked for feedback, I was ignored. After looking deeper into the company demographics, I was surprised to see that most of the company is led by women. I have absolutely no issue with anyone as I have worked under and with remarkable women and have a great record of working alongside anyone and obtaining maximum results. My motto is "whomever the best candidate is, should get the position". Unfortunately, it seems like this is a very young immature company that seeks to hire with other objectives in mind. I also found several of my former employees who worked there that I had trained at previous jobs and gave them great referrals when called by this organization to verify their work history, In short, I strongly believe that, in my last interview I was discriminated against by the Director because of my gender and age. I considered filing an EEOC complaint but did not see this as a productive use of my time and they would only deny it and continue with this behavior. In the end, companies like this eventually fail & cease to exist, so maybe I am the lucky one here. After reading the many toxic reviews, I am sure that I am.

      Application

      Interview

UPDATE: Charlie Health apparently partakes in "backdoor referencing." I was contacted by a former coworker stating he had been reached out to for a reference check, however was NOT one of my 4 provided references. Luckily, this person did not share the news of my job search with others. While it is "allowed" by law - this is NOT a good look for them. Beware. After 4 interviews, I let the hiring team know that I had another offer on the table. I was told the team was very excited about me and we were just waiting "on a few people" to check the necessary boxes. At this point I really was leaning towards the Charlie Health role, should it be offered. A day before I needed to respond to the other offer, I was asked to interview with 2 more people, 1 of which I had already met. The other being the CEO. This was never mentioned, and the expectation was that my interview with the hiring manager would be the final. On the day of the meeting with the CEO, I was called and explained the "way meetings with our CEO go" as well as to be on time and dress professionally. A bit off putting as I had done nothing but this since the start of the process. Nevertheless, I met with the CEO and she asked high level questions about the role, as well as some I am not sure pertained. Additionally, I felt the interview was cut short and she did not offer the opportunity to ask questions of herself or the company. I was very excited for the mission driving this company and the role specifically, however this example does make me concerned about the longevity of the role/company if Executives need to have a final say in each role. Either your recruiters/hiring managers can make the decision, or please don't waste time. The recruiter was very friendly and communicative throughout, however this did not always align with what was coming from the hiring manager, etc. In the end, I accepted the offer I had on the table and concurrently, was denied this offer. Seemingly because of the CEO's disapproval. I did feel a little let down as I has invested hours into the interview process, as well as a case study and presentation. In hindsight I am glad to not being joining a company with such apparent disorganization.

      Question 1

Many, these were pertinent to the role, but asked in different ways, by different people, in different interviews.
