I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Chipotle (Chicago, IL) in Feb 2014
Interview
I applied online on a Thursday and received an email on Tuesday saying to come in for an interview. This was my very first interview so i was very nervous but the manager was really cool, down to earth, and really fun; so that relaxed me. He asked basic questions. Why Chipotle? What do you have to bring to our team? He also asked a lot about me. Such as "Tell me about yourself." Do some research on their website and a very energetic attitude and you will do fine.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What would be the hardest part of working here if we hired you on the spot right now?
Asked questions about what positions work best for you, why you want to work there, what makes you a good fit there, where you see yourself in 5 years. Very simple and open to answer any questions I had
I applied online. I interviewed at Chipotle (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2026
Interview
Very brief, was only asked a few questions. I felt a decision about not hiring me was made before the interviewer even sat down. I suspect the interviewer was not accustomed to interviewing and may actually only standing in for a manager that was not working that day
The interview process included an application, attending a brief in-person interview, answering questions about teamwork, availability, customer service, and attitude, and was sometimes followed by a same-day or quick hiring decision.
