I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Chipotle (Quincy, MA) in Jan 2014
Interview
Applications are done online. But I went in in person to find they never got the app. I went through about 6 interviews with management and regular crew members, and was hired. They had me (like a few other hires) fill out the application after being hired. They ask very standard questions, and typically look for someone outgoing and fast-paced. Interviewers were conversational, laid back, and easy-going.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
"What would you change about your last job to make it better?"
Asked questions about what positions work best for you, why you want to work there, what makes you a good fit there, where you see yourself in 5 years. Very simple and open to answer any questions I had
I applied online. I interviewed at Chipotle (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2026
Interview
Very brief, was only asked a few questions. I felt a decision about not hiring me was made before the interviewer even sat down. I suspect the interviewer was not accustomed to interviewing and may actually only standing in for a manager that was not working that day
The interview process included an application, attending a brief in-person interview, answering questions about teamwork, availability, customer service, and attitude, and was sometimes followed by a same-day or quick hiring decision.
