      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Chipotle (Williamsburg, VA) in Mar 2016

      Interview

I submitted an initial application through Indeed, because of an online posting there. The next morning a girl calls my number and says she got my resume through Indeed and asks if I would like to come in for an interview. That was left over a voicemail message. She left her name, but didn't say who she was (shift manager or location manager or general manager or whatnot.) so I'm not sure of her exact roll in the company or her experience level. When I called her back the next day to ask about the interview... I think her phone etiquette could be improved on. She was polite, but between the way she answered the phone and then a series of being put on hold and then reconnected again... I wasn't sure who I was talking to sometimes. She asked me if I she had told me a particular time for the interview, and I told her that she never said a time. I got a "Oh, okay then... Well... Would you like to come over and have an interview this morning?" I said that would be fine. So I go over to the store location, and look around for a while, having never actually been in this store before... Scoping it out. The store seems nice, but for it being rather early in the day, I was a little put off my the fact that the store could have really used a sweep. Especially in the kitchen prep area. She notices me, and after a quick exchange, I confirm to her that I'm here for an interview. I get a "oh, okay... I'll be back in a minute" and then she disappears off to the back. She comes back a little while latter with another guy, who introduces himself by name, but again... Doesn't tell me what his roll is in the store. So then we move to a table for the "interview"... If you can really call it that. The girl moved right into the "so tell us about yourself" which I'm sure is a great icebreaker question for most people... But without a introduction from these two people to explain who they are, what they do in the store, and what their experience is... It just seemed a little odd. So we move through the awkward series of questions... Which between the way they were being asked and the fact that it didn't really feel like the girl was paying much attention to me, or my answers... It just left you with that weird nervousness. It seemed like the only one paying attention to what I was saying was the guy, and anytime the girl asked a new question prompt... It almost seemed like she wasn't even sure what questions she should be asking. Between a weirdly very informal, awkward interview process, and two store staff that didn't totally seem sure of how to host an interview... It just didn't seem like they really were well put together. Put that on top of the fact, that while I was waiting for her to come back from the back area with the other guy, I'm left with nothing to do but watch the rest of her staff just standing around doing nothing... When they should be cleaning their areas... Because there was debris all over the floor and assembly counters. I even watched a guy sneak a snack of shredded cheese from the back while I was waiting. Yeah, like that's really not a problem. And the overly flirtatious guy working at the counter... There's being friendly to customers or potential hires... And then there's that weird feeling like your being hit on. One is good... The other is not... Unless your working at a nightclub.

      Interview

I applied online and was brought in for an interview. The interview questions were fairly easy. The woman interviewing me was in a very bad mood. It felt like she was rushing through the interview.
