Interview
I recently had an interview for a Customer Assistant role at the not yet open Scala Co-op in Bath. I don't feel that I was given a fair interview during this process. The interviewer essentially skipped over the actual interview questions and rushed through formalities and extra information. As I was never told to provide a CV, I was asked about previous job experiences, and told the interviewer of previous jobs, which didn't include any shopfloor or retail experience. As he seemed to be rushing the process, the real interview questions were skipped over, I presume to save time. I was told that I likely would be unable to answer these questions due to a lack of experience. I feel that this didn't allow me to make a case for myself, as I have still had other jobs with transferable skills that I could have discussed. This makes it seem as if being rejected was always going to be the outcome, no matter what I said, and therefore was a complete waste of time.

Interview
I had a very positive interview experience with Co-op. Syed Hussain was kind, patient and welcoming from the beginning. English is not my first language, and I was nervous, but he made me feel comfortable and gave me time to express myself. He listened carefully, treated me with respect and created a friendly atmosphere throughout the interview. I truly appreciated the opportunity and left the interview feeling confident and valued as a candidate.
