ComPsych Information Technology interview questions

I had two interviews with ComPsych and was very excited for a possible future with the company. The first interview went flawlessly and was told I’d hear back the follow week. However, the very next day I was told the manager wanted to speak with me that week and arranged a time to speak. Interview went well, I thought, and lasted about 30 mins. Again, I was told I’d hear back the following week as to their decision. A week and a half passed with no word and no reply from the manager so, I reached out to the first person I spoke with who said he’d call and we’d talk. I was informed they would not go forward with me cause I lied about previous employment and supposedly slandered my University, thus making the manager not like me. I’m not sure where or why they accused me of lying as I had not lied about anything nor did I slander my University, which is one of the most prestigious in the country. A simple “thanks, but no thanks” would’ve worked instead of these false accusations. Maybe I dodged a bullet here after all.
