I applied online and received a response from an HR rep the day after. They sent me two tasks to complete, one was proofing a document and the other was creating an email using an HTML template. A few days after I submitted those, I received an email response to set up an in-person interview. The interview confirmation stated that I would be interviewing with two people, however, when I arrived on site, I found out that I was to be interviewing panel style with the entire writing team and their manager, and with three executives and the same manager from the writing team. Two separate interview sessions with a total of nine people in one day.
I find it very unprofessional that I was not told this prior to the interview. While most of the questions were standard, I thought that the questions asked to gauge my personality were too casual and inappropriate for a professional job interview. They seemed more suited for happy hour. Due to the fact that the pre-interview process went at lightning speed, I expected to have received a response by now, especially since they mentioned they were looking to make a decision quickly and fill the position. It's been a week and I haven't received a response. I find the complete disregard of my time regarding the in-person interview frustrating and unprofessional. I also received no feedback on the tasks I completed prior to the interview, which I put at least a few hours of work into.
Don't waste your time here.
