I applied in April but they were not ready to hire right away. I was told the position would be ready in late summer. Initially I thought it was a "thanks but no thanks" type of response, but sure enough, they called late summer to start the interview process. I respect and appreciate that they communicated the timing up front. From there, it was a phone call with the recruiter, then a few personality assessments, a panel interview with the hiring managers and stakeholders, then a code day to display my skill set.
