Sourcer reached out about a frontend engineering position and connected me with a cruise recruiter. A 45 min technical phone screen was scheduled and the questions were writing throttle, debounce, and an event emitter in JavaScript. Then an onsite was scheduled. It was 4 rounds of 1 hr each, 1 experience/behavioral with a hiring manger, 3 technical. The technical questions were extensive and had to be done in ~30 minutes. The first one was literally writing redux from scratch, second was writing babel to parse async/await syntax sequentially into ES6 promises, and the third was writing minesweeper in React. I finished #1 and #3 fine, bombed #2. Interviewer #2 clearly didn't care about my past experience and the question was asked very poorly. A really bad personality for an interviewer imo (aka no personality at all lol). Follow up email was sent on Monday. Overall a good experience though!
