This was a terrible experience. I was referred by an employee and had a call with a recruiter that same day. Things went great and we instantly scheduled a phone interview with the SDR manager - went great again. Came in for the onsite, 4 30 minute interviews - all fantastic with great responses from the interviewers. The recruiter called me two hours after my interview with an offer - I accepted and declined all other active offers. Next steps were to get references then begin on background checks. I get the references completed - two weeks goes by, and during this time I was constantly talking to the recruiter about next steps and he consistently said they we're just waiting on the paperwork from HR. Two weeks after my verbal offer - I get a call (thinking it was about the status of the paperwork) but I was informed that management had decided to pull my offer. After two weeks of being strung on, I now had no offer and had declined all previous offers. I tried reaching out to upper-level management multiple times but got no reply. The SDR managers were very helpful - they offered to help me find another job since this company had put me in such a horrible position. I commend them for that. But the unprofessional actions displayed by the upper-level management can not go unnoticed. I am now out of a job, with bills to pay, and no leads on new avenues of employment. This is really disappointing considering I was extremely excited to work for Databricks, and I had turned down offers from large, long-standing companies. Thanks, Databricks.
