Datadog Senior Software Engineer interview questions

There is an initial Phone Screen interview and a later round of 4 interviews (2 coding interviews, 1 design interview and 1 behavioral interview). The coding exercises are carried out in coderpad and the design one was conducted using excalidraw. The phone screen consists of 2 coding exercises. In my case was the coin change exercise (simple approach) and a deep first tree search. The first coding interview consisted in an exercise where I had to remove all files and subfolders of a specific folder in a filesystem. There were a couple of memory optimization questions as well. The second coding interview consisted in another exercise where I had to analyze a group of strings that represented logs and queries. Respecting the order, I had to match each query with the previous logs comparing each word in the query with the words in the logs. There were also a couple of search optimization questions. The design interview consisted in a an exercise where I had to provide a solution that could consume a stream of photos, use an already trained face recognition algorithm and notify users in case of a positive match. The behavioral interview was focused on questions about one specific project I worked for. They asked me to describe the project, explain the technical challenges and the solutions I contributed.
