Interview
Interview process moved fast with clear steps. However when joining the virtual call one of interviewers was dismissive did not look at me at all, typed the entire time. While the company culture appears to focus on hiring top talent, interview managers do not reflect that and it is disrespectful to people making time to interview.

Gave a take home exercise to solve a real customer case.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Decagon in Feb 2026
Interview
The process began with an initial discussion with HR, followed by a coding round. I completed the assessment within the allotted time, and my solution passed all of their unit tests.
After this, HR requested my availability for the next round. However, within a few hours, I received a follow-up stating that the position had already been filled and that hiring had been paused. This abrupt reversal points to a lack of planning and internal coordination.
The experience ultimately felt like a waste of candidates’ time and effort. For individuals actively seeking opportunities, such mismanagement can be particularly discouraging. The handling in this instance came across as unprofessional and indicative of a lack of maturity in managing the hiring process.
