I applied on line.
On Thursday , I received a call from a recruiter. She discussed the job requirements, details, and salary expectations. She explained that the role required a background in Linux, Active Directory, and IIS.
At 3:54 PM EST, I received an email from her asking about my availability for a 30-minute meeting with the hiring manager on Wednesday. During the interview, the manager asked me the following questions:
Why do you want to join Delinea?
Why did you leave your last job?
How do you deal with an angry customer ?
Questions about Linux: Did you use Red Hat? Ubuntu? What were your duties?
Not even one question was asked about Active Directory.
What scripting languages do you know ?
The hiring manager seemed distracted and unfocused
The manager also mentioned that there would be another interview to assess my technical knowledge.
On Tuesday, I received an email stating that the hiring manager enjoyed speaking with me, But he does need stronger Linux and Active Directory skills.
