I also got iq test presented as "personality test". Has not been asked any technical questions, only lame stuff like 'how would you deal with requirements?" or even "what technology would you use?" (without context) from their "Principal Architect". I am in the business for more than 13 years and thanks god do not have problems with contracts. But this was the most unprofessional interview I attended in several years.
Terrible working conditions, people are sitting on top of each other staring at the monitors. You got the idea.
I think they more or less understand what they are looking for but fail to communicate their expectations and technical team does not have skills to conduct an interview.
I made my decision half way through but decided not to leave.
ps. all their open-ended questions were borrowed from the internet. I do not mind, but you have to come up with at least something original if you want to convince somebody to work for you.
