I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Electronic Arts (Montreal, QC)
Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter who stated I would be a great fit for an upcoming role.
Throughout ~4 month the process:
- I participated in 4 individual interviews with ~6 different people.
- Was passed between 3 different recruiters, none of these passed any information off to the next so I had to re-screen with the new interviewer each time.
- Provided my availability for the same time frame multiple times to several different people.
- Ultimately ghosted by the recruiter.
All in all, my interview experience with the managers and team was quite positive, but my experience with the recruiting team will prevent me from pursuing future roles within EA.
Other Senior Manager Interview Reviews for Electronic Arts
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Electronic Arts (London, England) in Oct 2021
Interview
Friendly and inclusive interview process. Most interviews felt more like a chat between colleagues than a grilling. There were a few technical questions, but most were centred around my background and experiences so I felt comfortable throughout.
It was a fairly long process and I met lots of people, which was both a positive and a negative as it meant the entire process was lengthy and drawn out over two months.
All interviews carried out over Zoom. A couple of interviewers didn’t enable their camera which was a minor red flag to me - it was very hard to build a rapport without that interaction.
Overall a pleasant experience.

Question 1
Explain your approach to dealing with competing priorities
It started with a quick chat with the recruiter followed by a more in depth interview process with the team. Those interviews were scheduled for about 4 hours in total and took place over 1 day. Most of the interviewers were friendly enough, but provided little to no time for my own questions. Following the interviews, I followed up with them and was told I would hear back within a few weeks. I followed up again after 2 weeks and didn't receive a response. After a month of being ghosted, I gave up.
I am incredibly disappointed in my experience with EA. Not once during the interviews did I get the feeling that the team was not satisfied with my answers to their questions - yet they have now completely stopped replying to my emails and failed to provide any feedback. After carving out 4 hours of my work day to meet with them, I was hoping the least they could do was provide confirmation that I didn't get it and provide some feedback.
Reading other reviews on Glassdoor, it seems that EA will often schedule these 4 hour interviews and fail to get back to the interviewee. It's disrespectful. My suggestion is to start with an hour to get a feel for a fit and go from there instead of wasting everyone's time.
