Description Riot Games was founded in 2006 to develop, publish, and support the most player-focused games in the world. As we went from one game to many, we have expanded to over 4,500 Rioters across more than 20 offices around the world bringing a global perspective to the games we create and the characters in them. From the streets of Piltover to the Radianite labs of Alpha Earth, we are all about making games and serving the people who love them.
When we think about games, we aren’t just focused on shipping a game and moving on. Continuing to support, improve, and redefine our games is the driving force behind League’s success and is the strategy we aim to bring to all our live games.
Here’s what we do:
League of Legends: The game that started it all. A massive cast of playable champions defines the world of Runeterra as millions of players around the world continue to boot up League in its second decade. League of Legends Worlds, is the most watched esports event annually and pushes the envelope on what competitive gaming can be.
VALORANT: Our first FPS title and second major esport, our tac shooter VALORANT leaves the Runeterra universe for Alpha Earth where the agents of the VALORANT Protocol reflect the world around us.
Teamfight Tactics (TFT): The most-played PC strategy game in the world sees tacticians vie for the perfect champions to round out their comp and hit the ever-so-satisfying high roll. A mobile version allows you to bring your RNG on the go.
Wild Rift: League, but built for mobile. With its own unique identity, playstyle, and cosmetics, Wild Rift brings the MOBA experience to players on phones around the world.
Legends of Runeterra: The home of Path of Champions, a PvE roguelite experience where players build decks on the fly and play through stories in the world of Runeterra.
2XKO: Our first foray into the FGC is a 2v2 tag-fighter based in Runeterra with longtime fighting game leaders at the helm.
Project K: The codename for our new physical trading card game, Project K aims to bring characters from Runeterra to playmats in game stores around the world.
Arcane: The stories of Runeterra like never seen before. Across two seasons on Netflix, Arcane was our first foray into using the big screen to bring the worlds of our games to life. With multiple Emmy wins and high ratings from critics and players alike, Arcane showed us that people around the world wanted to see more of this universe.
R&D: We’re constantly working on new ideas and want Riot to be the place where devs get to make their dream game. Whether it's working on the MMO or jumping into a new genre, our R&D team aims to push the limits on what’s possible in games.
