Elevate Senior Software Engineer interview questions

It consisted of in total 5 rounds. They tried to understand my profile first in the first discussion and some technical problem solving skills . in the second and third round i was called in their premises and was interviewed with all the technical stuffs they can ask.But overall i found the questions relatively easier. Spring,DataBases,Java,DS,ProblemSolving etc. I again had discussion with their architect followed by VP. Intially they casually said we can offer any amount..do not worry. and with a promise of thirty-five percent they offered somewhere 20 percent.strange?????i declined and i was communicated we will try for more and will update within a day.but that day never came. Selection and rejection is one thing.but communication should be there.
