Interview Process at Emerson
I received the interview mail 2 days prior to the scheduled date. On the day of the interview, there were two interviewers from Emerson who conducted the process.
Introduction Round:
The interview started with a mutual introduction where I gave my self-introduction and the interviewers also introduced themselves.
Technical Round (DSA Questions):
After introductions, they moved on to Data Structures and Algorithms questions:
Search in a Matrix – The matrix was sorted row-wise and column-wise, and I had to implement the search.
Minimum Number of Platforms – Based on arrival and departure times of trains, I had to find the minimum platforms required so that no train waits.
Project Discussion:
After the DSA round, they asked about my academic/major projects. I explained my project details, the technologies used, and the challenges faced.
Core/Technical Questions:
They also asked a few questions related to my core subjects to test my fundamental understanding.
Overall, the interview was a mix of DSA problem-solving, project discussion, and core technical knowledge.
