Interview
Had an initial phone screen with recruiter, was then emailed that they wanted to advance me to the next round of interviews, one hour after I received that email though I received another email telling me it was mistakenly sent, as they didn't realize they already had someone who they were close to hiring for the role. They told me that they did however have a Technical Business Analyst position open, I agreed to interview for that position. They sent me a technical assessment to complete and submit prior to my interview with the hiring manager. I spent a couple hours on the assessment and submitted it as requested. My interview with the hiring manager went very well. She loved my work and was very encouraging. She said not to sell myself short and that she wanted to push for me to be considered for a Lead Product Manager opening that they had. I was very excited, I've been searching for a new job for a couple months now. Six days later I got an autogenerated email stating that the role I applied for was already filled. I called the recruiter and she confirmed this. She did say however that they will still consider me for the Technical Business Analyst role, however the hiring manager, the one I already interviewed with, is going on a pre-planned 4 week vacation, so they won't be continuing with the interview process until after she is back. So I have to wait 4 weeks before having any further interviews scheduled. I should never have been asked to do an assessment and interviewed if the hiring manager had a 4 week vacation planned and was not willing to let the team move forward with the process in her absence. I think this whole process was a disrespectful waste of my time and energy. I do not feel respected as a candidate and am disappointed to have had this experience. If you interview here, I would be sure to ask the time frame they plan to take to interview before hiring. I would also not agree to do any assessments before having this information. So many companies have been exhibiting this behavior lately and it is extremely exhausting as a human being just trying to find their next place of work.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Enova (Chicago, IL) in Dec 2022
Interview
The process was well defined. I was asked to interview on site with a set of panel. Overall interview went well. I was asked to give another round of interview, which went well too. After the interview, i received a call from HR on employment status and two days later received a rejection email. I asked for a reason on rejection but they closed it informally. It was not a professional closure.
