I've interviewed for the Account Manager role twice now, with no offer each time. This most recent interview process I made it through the initial 45 mins with the recruiter/HR person, then met with the Regional Manager on site in Minneapolis, along with a team leader based out of the midwest. After doing well there, I interviewed with another team leader and an senior account manager through Zoom. I was then told I'd be moving on to the final round with 2 company directors and after getting an interview set up, the team backtracked on their offer saying they were waiting for other candidates to "catch up" in the interview process. The first time I interviewed for the position, I also made it to the final interview with a director and it was a super short 20 minute chat, nothing crazy. That interview process also came by being recruited through LinkedIn. This second time I submitted my application directly on the Esri website. After this most recent interview process, and along with reading a few other interview experiences on here, I'm pretty convinced that Esri has no intention to actually fill this position (and possibly others) as it's been open for 4+ years now. I don't know if they're just collecting data, or info from interviewees on their field of work, but something is not right. It's also very unprofessional of them to go back on their offer for the final round interview. With Esri not having much of any kind of direct competitor in the GIS software market, I feel like they can get away with this kind of business practice. My advice for anyone wanting to work at Esri would be to only do so if you know someone really well that already works at Esri. Otherwise it's just a waste of time. Or if you would like to get some interview practice.
