Initial contact with their HR was pleasant. It was at that time I learned of their completely ridiculous interview process. You go from a screener call to a hiring manager interview to a test to a department head interview to a group interview with the team to a panel interview with the CEO and other top individuals. At every step communication is bad. They don't return calls when they say they will, so be prepared to chase them down. I only made it through part of the process and it was still a month. This is WAY too many steps for a non-managerial position. Also, the pay range for this role is $68k-107k. That is a completely ludicrous range to have for a position.
If it weren't for the fact that this is a real brand I would think this company was a scam. Maybe it is. I'm not upset about not being selected, but why waste that much time for multiple applicants for what is basically just "a job"? I'm sure many great candidates have dropped out just due to how tedious the process is.
Lastly, as a heads up, this role advertises as remote but it was pretty heavily implied that hybrid is what they're seeking.
Esri, do better. Applicants, you can do better.
