I applied for the Human Resources Generalist role.
For the first 3/4 of my interview experience, I was very impressed. I had a brief phone screen with a recruiter, a phone interview with the hiring manager, and a final panel interview with 2 other leaders and the hiring manager. The interviews were fairly straightforward and the recruiter was prompt.
My final interview was on a Monday. I was told that I’d have an update by the end of the week. By Tuesday of the next week, I figured I was unsuccessful. I thought I would at least be notified, but the way I found out was by seeing the role reposted on LinkedIn. Only after I reached out to the recruiter did I receive confirmation that I was not selected, and that she could offer no feedback about my interview.
The next day, another recruiter reached out to me to set up a phone screen for a different role. I immediately emailed her back to seek clarification since I had just been disqualified. She didn’t respond for a week, and then when she finally did she cancelled the interview all together.
I was quite excited about Exact Sciences, but quite frankly the end of the interview process was disrespectful and almost cruel from an applicant perspective.
