The questions asked in the interview were fair and to be expected.
I was instructed by the recruiter to join the meeting 5 minutes before it was due to begin. When joining the interview 5 minutes before, both interviewers looked taken aback and it seemed they had been discussing my application within the same meeting I was due to join. This obviously set the interview off to an awkward start.
In addition, this was the first interview conducted with me and it was with 2 male employees. Contacts in recruitment have pointed out since that when conducting an initial interview with a female candidate, it is unprofessional for companies to intimidate female candidates by having a male-only interview panel outnumbering the woman.
