I applied for an Executive Assistant position in January 2025. Unfortunately, my experience with the interview process was disappointing. During my initial phone interview, the HR recruiter used inappropriate language twice, which was very unprofessional. She said the "B" word and the "S" word. I would have to say...that was a first for me. While she expressed enthusiasm about my background and claimed she would be my advocate, the rest of the process didn’t reflect that level of support.
After I mentioned that two other companies were also pursuing me, she quickly arranged an interview with the VP of HR. That conversation went fine. I was then scheduled to meet with the SVP and GM of Global Connected Products, which was a far less positive experience. The SVP came across as dismissive and disengaged, making the conversation feel uncomfortable. On top of that, both interviews were rescheduled, one of them just two hours before the original meeting time.
I was told I would be updated on next steps the following week. Despite following up twice with the recruiter, I never received a response. From poor communication to unprofessional conduct and lack of follow-through, the entire experience left a very negative impression of the company and how it manages its hiring process. In the end, I think I dodged a bullet. This experience likely points to deeper issues within the organization.
