GEICO Management Development Program interview questions

Basic phone interview. Twice. Get to know who you are and ask questions on your leadership skills. In person online test logic and reasoning. Mock phone calls. Another interview with hiring person.

I applied online and the process took about 4 weeks. The first thing that happens is a recruiter calls to set up a phone interview. The first phone interview lasts about 30 minutes and it's just to discuss the job, some basic requirements, and if you feel comfortable with the standards that go along with the job. Next the recruiter sets up an additional phone interview. This second phone call lasts about an hour and a half. During this interview, you are asked a plethora of behavioral questions. Be prepared ahead of time with answers and questions to ask. After this, the recruiter asks to schedule an in-person day of assessments. This is the long day so be prepared! There is a multi-tasking and typing test first. Just relax and read the instructions and you'll be fine. If you pass those, then you go onto the role play scenario. My best advice for this is to just stay calm and professional. You will not know how to answer every question thrown at you by the fake clients. You can't learn all about insurance in the time they give you to prep. What you can do is just stay calm and friendly to the client and answer the best way you can. After this, the fake client (in reality, a supervisor) comes into the room and interviews you. If you pass this, you are taken to shadow someone within the department you're interviewing for. This lasts for about an hour and is really exciting and informative--ask questions! After this, there is a personality/logic test. My best advice here is to take your time and read through the questions carefully and think about what type of answers they are looking for. If you pass all of these steps, then the final step is an interview with the department manager. Mine was scheduled on the following day. Prepare questions and answers for this as well. After that, I was offered the job. The process is long and grueling but extremely professional throughout. Everyone I encountered was friendly and the recruiter was so kind and was really rooting for me to succeed. I enjoyed the interview process despite its length because it made me feel all that much better getting offered the position--I felt like I earned it instead of just getting handed a job. All in all, my best advice is prepare, prepare, prepare. Go into the assessments and interviews confident, enthusiastic, and excited about the job and you will do well. Good luck!
