A lot of hours wasted with people asking the same questions.
The recruiter gave a generic email rejection despite the effort that had to go in to prepare for this.

Brief screening call, for late applicant. Very personable hiring manager, good conversation. Fairly standard concerns for the job skillset, and I believe focus was on current issues facing the hiring manager and fit within the group. Company was pending announcement about future so had to tiptoe around some questions, & that was a bit awkward
