I talked to an HR representative to set up a phone interview to talk about my interests and experience. After this, I interviewed with two different teams and was invited to the onsite portion.
I was flown out to Olathe to interview with both the teams and was given a lengthy tour around the building. I felt the interviews both went pretty well with both of the teams as I was able to answer all of the questions that I was asked after being able to ask questions in order to get more information.
During the tour, I noticed that there were no female engineers or technicians on either of the teams when I was shown around, which wasn't what I was expecting as I thought there would be more diversity.
They rejected me the Monday following the interview with no explanation even though I felt like my personality fit in with the teams and I felt like I did fairly well during the interviews. It made me wonder if it had to do with me being a female engineer who was interviewing with all male teams.
