I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Garmin (Cochrane, AB) in Jun 2019
Interview
Took one month from application date (online, their job portal) to interview. First had generic 30min phone screen with HR rep. They asked pretty generic behavioural questions about three strengths, what I'd bring to the team, weakness, and what I'm looking for in a team environment. Then had 1.5hr or so on-location interview a couple weeks later with two engineering managers and the HR rep. Mix of "technical" questions and behavioural questions, most of the behavioural were repeats from the phone screen. They were quite accommodating with last minute travel plan changes

Question 1
What trade-offs would you consider when choosing a material to make a battery spring?
Very technical, was to be expected. Interviewer was extremely nice and asked challenging yet attainable questions. Certain questions referred to Solidworks knowledge and other behavioral questions. Worked out for the best
