Very very slow process. My first phone interview was on 8/2 and was told to expect an on-site interview at the end of the phone interview. The first on-site interview was 8/19. Then there was no response no matter I emailed or called.
At the beginning of Sep., I sent an email to Garmin and let them know I was at the final stage with another company. Garmin called me the next day and scheduled the second on-site interview on 9/9 and then the hiring manager, who was sick on the day I had the second interview, called me directly couple days later and scheduled the third on-site interview on the same day he called me. At the end of the interview, the hiring manager told me that they had to follow the process and asked me how many days they had before I had to make decision.
From that point, we were back and forth for two weeks. They asked my references, my past annual reviews and told me they were waiting for VP approval, who was OOO for several days. Finally Garmin told me that they moved forward with another candidate via an official email from 'Human Resource' that was no difference than four similar emails I received from them during the past two months. What a professional manner!!! I was confused until I called HR again.
Was Garmin playing a game with me? Why did they waste two weeks of my time and their time for nothing? I would never work for such a company that has no basic respect to its candidates.
