I applied through other source. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Georgia-Pacific (Atlanta, GA) in Nov 2008
Interview
The initial communications with me by the company were efficient and professional. (I had been referred to the hiring department head by a former boss who knew that person.) After a converation on the phone, I was directed to apply on the company's website and then HR called me to schedule interviews. I met individually with eight people over a two-day period for behavioral-based interviews. Each discussion was approximately 30-45 minutes. The interviewees were very professional and pleasant, and I was impressed. I had a sense of collaborative spirit and that the company would be a positive environment in which to work. I would advise candidates to review their previous work history and be very prepared with information and answers to various behavioral-type (STAR) questions. (The company actually provides a website to help you understand what behavioral interviews are all about.)
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Because I had prepared, I didn't experience a particularly difficult question. Each interviewer asked me to tell about a time when I was unsuccessful in accomplishing a task, what happened, how it turned out, etc.
