I went through four interviews in total for a Risk role at GoFundMe. It started with a call with the recruiter, and then three rounds with the risk team. The first was with two risk managers, the second with a risk manager and a senior risk analyst, and the last one with a senior risk manager.
I have honestly never felt so supported in a recruitment process. The recruiter was clear, friendly and really helpful, making sure I knew what to expect at every step. The whole process took about two and a half weeks and felt smooth and well-paced the whole way through.
The interviewers were all approachable and professional. The conversations felt natural and friendly, not stiff or formal. Most questions were about past experiences and behaviours, and each interview finished with a short question about a risk-related topic.
Overall, it was a really positive and insightful experience. It gave me a good sense of GoFundMe’s collaborative and supportive culture. I’m sharing this not because I got an offer, but because it was genuinely one of the best recruitment experiences I have had.
For anyone going through the process, my advice is to show that you care about the role and the company, be ready to talk about your experiences, and let your personality come through. Experience is important, but motivation and enthusiasm matter just as much.
