A recruiter reached out to me via LinkedIn to set up an interview. After the initial phone screen, I moved to the manager phone screen. After speaking with the manager, I was told they'd be back in touch by the end of the week, after interviewing the reaminder of the candidates. I didn't hear back, so I reached out to them the end of the following week. The recruiter got back to me to expect an update by a certain date. The date passed by; after waiting an additional week following the date, I reached back out to the recruiter and was told the manager was out of office and they would be in touch by a new date. That was 3-weeks ago; I have no issues not moving forward, but getting a courtesy update, even via a generic email, would have definitely been a better experience versus getting the run around for over a month.
